Graffiti Typography Final Reflection

My concept was to make something that reflects me. I am a very creative person, so ‘Create Your World’ reflects me well. I had a bit of trouble choosing the colors. Normally I go for the color purple, because it is my favorite color. I wanted to change it up a bit. I wanted the ‘Create’ and the ‘World’ to be the same color(s) and the ‘your’ to be different to crate contrast. I inspired myself. (Amber helped me a little bit.) I wanted the work to be inspirational.  I was very committed to my work, because I loved working on it. I loved all of the different color options and font choices. It was hard for me to just pick one. I showed a very high level of craftsmanship. I feel like if the ‘Crate’ and ‘World’ were the same color, it wouldn't have look as interesting. It would have been a bit boring. I did create contrast with the different colors. I like the shadowing behind the words. It makes it look a bit dirtier and more like spray paint. I think maybe I could have a little more design in the words, it is a bit plain. I could have worked a little more on blending the two blues together. You can see where it was just two colors and no blending. In the ‘Create’ the dark blue is place up at the top where the wall is already dark. Maybe I should have flipped the color pattern so the lighter blue was on top and the dark blue on the bottom. I am very happy with my work. I love it. I feel I did very well on it.

Hand Heart Reflection

Overall, I love how my hands turned out. It took me forever to finish them, but it was worth the extra time. I think my typographic hands turned out very well. I feel like I accomplished what I wanted to represent with my hands. My hands stayed in the heart shape like the original picture, which is really good. I filled the space well and there are very few empty spaces. I feel that I warped the words well to show that the hand is curved instead of flat. I think that I could have done the right hand a little better, but I was rushed on time. I grew, because I had no photo shop experience and now I know how to work the basics of photo shop. This piece of art connects to my other are by being made by me. I have a very bold style of art and that shows on almost all of my art work. Not only that, but I love art so you can see that through this website. My original idea was to do something that really mattered to me and that is what I ended up doing. I wanted to show my love for my job. I have always wanted to go into a career with animals. I used basic photo sop skills to complete and form my hand heart.

Artist Trading Cards Reflection

The process I went through to complete my work was a bit tricky. I have a very active mind and I am indecisive. These two things put together make it very difficult to choose just one theme or idea. I eventually did. I chose to do cartoon animals with an abstract background. I used a patterned paper and sparkly colored pens. I printed out the little animals. I kind of wanted to do something simple. Most of the time I try to do complicated things, but this time I went for something simple. The patterned paper is and abstract paper and that’s what I wanted. Yes I was able to stay focused during this project. I am a very focused and hard working person. So the text on the cards is the names I gave the animals. I tried to match the text with the animal. For example Tiny, the turtle, has tiny text. Overall I love these cards and it is going to be hard trading them. I don’t have just one card that reflects my personal style of work, because I feel like all of them reflect my work. I think I would maybe have worked a little harder on the text. Yes I was very successful at combining different mediums. I feel like the cards would be missing something important if it didn't have the text. I think people would be wondering what the names of the animals are..
